Yami Gautam is one of the busiest actresses of Bollywood. Buzz is that she has as much as eight projects in her kitty. While she has bagged interesting roles in multiple Hindi projects including movies like Bhoot Police, Dasvi among others, the actress says that she isn’t shying away from exploring projects from down south.
The actress who made her debut in showbiz through Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha (2009), went on to do movies in Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi and Tamil languages. Even though her last south venture was in 2016, Tamil film, Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, Yami mentions that she is definitely on a lookout for an interesting regional language script even now.
While talking to Bombay Times, she said, “I have always said that I want to balance between all mediums and across all the languages. I would like to explore a lot especially in these times with the kind of content that is coming our way. Right now, I am slightly occupied with my Hindi projects. But I am on a lookout for sure. Personally, I love watching regional films.”
Ask her who’s her favourite actor from down south and she is quick to add, “I love watching Fahadh Faasil’s films. He is such a fine actor.”
