NEW DELHI: Last year in October LG launched its first smartphone with a rotatable screen — LG Wing in India. The company launched the smartphone at Rs 69,990 and it has now received a price cut of Rs 10,000. You can now buy the LG Wing at Rs 59,990 from Amazon.in and LG.in.
To recall, LG Wing is part of the company’s Explorer Project program. The dual-screen smartphone from LG can be used in Swivel mode in which the front of the device rotates clockwise 90 degree. This enables users to interact with the second screen while having uninterrupted content on the main screen.
The smartphone features a Hydraulic Damper which reduces the stress on the mechanism when the main screen is rotated. The company also mentioned that it has applied a thermoplastic polyoxymethylene on the back of the main screen which helps in smooth swivelling and to prevent scratches on the second screen.
For those unaware, the LG Wing is powered by a mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 620 Adreno GPU. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of UI.
LG Wing packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 2TB by adding a microSD card. The handset features a 6.8-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2440 pixel resolution and a 3.9-inch second screen with 1080×1240 pixel resolution.
Coming to the camera, LG Wing sports a triple rear camera setup which comprises a 64MP main camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 13MP 117° ultra-wide lens with f/1.9 aperture, 12MP 120° ultra-wide Gimbal mode Camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front is home to a 32MP pop-up camera with f/1.9 aperture.
The smartphone comes with military-grade compliance and also features an IP54 rating which makes it dust and water-resistant. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
