Oppo A55 5G with 5,000 mAh battery, MediaTek processor launched in China


NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its A series of smartphones with the launch of Oppo A55 5G smartphone in China. The handset is powered by MediaTek Dimensity processor and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. The Oppo A55 5G sports a triple rear camera setup and it features a water drop style notch.
The company has priced the Oppo A55 5G smartphone at 1,599 yuan (Rs 18,000) and it can be purchased in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black colour options. The smartphone is up for purchase on various online retailers in China.

The Oppo A55 5G smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The smartphone offers an 88.7 screen-to-body ratio and 60Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own ColorOS 11 layer of customisation.
The Oppo A55 5G smartphone offers dual SIM functionality and it comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The device packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card.
The Oppo A55 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with 13MP main sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera includes Night Scene, time-lapse, slow motion and more. The smartphone also offers support for 10x digital zoom. The device sports an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The Oppo A55 5G is backed by a 5000 mAh battery and offers Bluetooth, 5G, WiFi and USB Type C as connectivity options.
